PIR-ATC 2035Polyisocyanurate (PIR) rigid foam panel, coated with centesimal aluminum foil on both sides Application
- Suitable for the construction of ducts systems for the air distribution, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems
- High hygiene capacities
- Where ducting of fibre glass is traditionally used
- Ducting of small and medium size
- Low and medium pressure levels (<1.000Pa)
- Normal insulation capacities
- Visible installations
- Little loading on the building structure
Composition
- Standard production thickness is 20 mm, within a tolerance range of +1,5 , -1 mm (tested according to EN 823 standard)
- Standard panel length is 3000 mm within a tolerance range of +/- 7 mm (tested according to EN 822 standard)
- Standard panel width is 1200 mm within a tolerance range of +/- 2 mm (tested according to EN 822 standard)
- Squareness of panel is precise within a tolerance range of +/- 2 mm (tested according to EN 824 standard)
- On request it is possible to supply panels of other lengths and widths whilst maintaining the same tolerance as described above
Chemical and physical characteristics
- The polyisocyanurate (PIR) rigid foam is made from the polyaddition reaction between first quality polyols and polyisocyanates. The chemical reaction involves the polymerization of the raw materials, with the transition from liquid to solid state. The polymer obtained is physiologically and chemically inert, insoluble and unable to be metabolized
- The coating of the panel consist of an embossed aluminum foil with a protective lacquer on both sides
- Blowing agent: the blowing agent is CFC and HCFC-free
- The panel is a fiber-free product
Mechanical characteristics
- The compressive strength is tested according to EN 826 standard
Thermal conductivity
- Thanks to the high number of closed cells (exceeding 95%) the panel has an initial thermal conductivity of 0,022 W/m·K at 10ºC, according to EN 12667 standard
Fire reaction
- The panel meets class M1 according to UNE 23727 Spanish national standard
- EN 13403
- BS 476 part 6 & part 7, EN 13501
- Smoke toxicity and opacity test NF X-10-700
Smoke opacity
- The panel was tested in Spain and meets class VOF4=4.1 (accordance with regulation NF-X10.702)
Rigidity
- The panel can be classified as Class 3 according to prCEN/TC 156/WG3N207/4
Water absorption
- After 28 days of total immersion in water, the panel does not increase its weight by more than 1,5% according to EN 12087
Water permeability
- Due to the thickness of the aluminum foil (>50 μm) the product can be considered as a vapor barrier
Operating temperature
- The panel can be used constantly in a temperature range from –40º to +80ºC without any substantial differences in the thermo-ventilating insulating specifications. The lineal thermal expansion coefficient has a value of 1 0-6 mm/mm·K
Accessories
- Quatro tool for cutting straight, 90°, or 45° angles and make male or female angles for easy and professional assembly of panels (see our Instruction Manual)
- Alutape
- Aluminium profiles
- Bayonet for flanges
- PVC cornerpieces
- Silicone
Text for tender
- Pre-insulated aluminum ducts shall be built with four separate faces, lengthwise glued, sealed with silicone inside angle and with aluminum tape for the exterior angle.
